Benefits of Hemp
WHY HEMP?
Hemp extract contains CBD & THC. CBD stands for cannabidiol, and THC is short for tetrahydrocannabinol. They are two of the over 100 cannabinoids found in the cannabis plants. Botanically both hemp and marijuana are from the same species of plant known as cannabis sativa. But they are from different varieties or cultivars that have vastly different cannabinoid profiles.
Put simply, marijuana plants are grown for their large amount of THC and contain very little CBD and hemp, conversely, is grown for its high concentration of CBD and has only a small trace of THC.
Unlocking The Body's Hidden
Mastermind: The Endocannabinoid System & Cannabis
The human body contains a specialized system called the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is involved in regulating a variety of functions, including sleep, appetite, pain and immune-system response.
The body produces endocannabinoids, which are neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors in the nervous system.
Research shows the ECS system has been linked to an enormous range of bodily systems including the immune and digestive systems and it is believed to help modulate emotional responses, social interactions, cognition, appetite, pain sensation, sleep, and memory.
The ECS system was named after cannabis because of the plant’s ability to interact harmoniously with it. Cannabis has been known to activate the ECS.
Is Your ECS Out Of Whack?
Cannabis (THC+CBD) can help restore balance and end suffering.
When your ECS IS OUT OF BALANCE, your body is not able to maintain homeostasis and you may experience stress, nervousness, soreness, moodiness, sleeplessness, etc. Simply put, you are not at your best. When your ECS IS BALANCED, you may feel an overall sense of wellness and harmony of mind and body.
CBD & THC work with the body to use more of its own cannabinoids to help the body help itself. This is why studies have shown CBD & THC to be potentially beneficial for such a wide variety of ailments.
These include but are not limited to: stress, metabolism, appetite, mood, pain, energy, inflammation and insomnia.
